Trust is the precondition for everything else on a dating platform. Today we're rolling out an expanded verification system that pairs a live selfie check with optional government ID confirmation, giving members a clear signal about who they're talking to before a conversation begins.
How verification works
Verification takes under a minute. Members are prompted to capture a short selfie sequence, which is matched against their profile photos. Nothing is published without consent, and the source imagery is never shown to other members — only the resulting badge is.
What changes for members:

- The option to filter discovery to verified members only

Early results
In the three months this ran as a limited pilot, accounts removed for impersonation fell by 97%, and reports of catfishing dropped to near zero among members who filtered for verified profiles. Verification is free and will remain so.
