Mindware (“Mindware”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is the owner and operator of the Wrati dating application and all associated services (collectively, the “App” or “Services”). Wrati is a proprietary product developed and owned exclusively by Mindware, with its principal place of business in Dwarka, New Delhi, India.

For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”), Mindware is the Data Fiduciary responsible for determining the purpose and means of processing your personal data when you use Wrati.

By downloading, installing, registering for, or using the Wrati App or any related Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this combined Terms of Service & Privacy Policy (“Agreement”). This Agreement forms a legally binding contract between you (“User”, “you”) and Mindware.

If you do not agree to this Agreement, do not use Wrati. Your continued use of the App following any updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We recommend reviewing this document periodically.

Wrati is intended exclusively for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use our Services. By registering, you confirm that you meet this minimum age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.

Prohibited from using Wrati:

• Anyone under 18 years of age;
• Users previously suspended or banned from Wrati for violations;
• Individuals acting under coercion or fraud;
• Anyone prohibited from receiving services under applicable Indian law or the laws of their jurisdiction.

Mindware may request a government-issued ID, selfie verification, or other verification methods at any time to confirm user authenticity. Failure to complete verification may result in restricted access, suspension, or permanent termination of the account. Providing false information about your age or identity is a material breach of this Agreement and may result in immediate account termination.

To access Wrati’s core features, you must register an account using a valid email address or phone number. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your profile up to date.

Your account responsibilities. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. Do not share your password. Any activity that occurs under your account is your responsibility. Notify us immediately at gm@wrati.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

One account per person. Each user may maintain only one active account. Creating duplicate, fake, or impersonation accounts is prohibited and may result in permanent suspension of all associated accounts without prior notice or refund. Users are responsible for maintaining access to their registered email address and phone number. Mindware may require identity verification before restoring access. Mindware is not liable for any loss arising from your failure to protect credentials.

Your privacy is a design principle at Wrati. We collect only the data necessary to provide you with a safe, personalised, and functional dating experience.

How we collect your data

Directly from you: When you create an account, complete your profile, send messages, report a user, contact support, or respond to any in-app prompt.

Automatically from your device: Device identifiers, IP address, OS, app version, and interaction logs through analytics and crash-reporting tools.

From third-party sign-in providers: If you sign in via Google or another provider, we receive basic profile information (name, email, profile picture) as permitted by your settings. We do not receive your password.

Why we use your data

We use your personal data only for: matching & recommendations, notifications & updates, customer support, payment processing, safety & moderation, bug & fraud detection, app improvement, and legal compliance. We do not process your data for any undisclosed purpose.

Sensitive personal data

Dating apps by nature involve information that can be sensitive (e.g., religion, caste, sexual orientation, gender identity, or health-related preferences). We collect sensitive personal data only with your explicit, informed consent. You are never required to share this information. You can update or delete any sensitive profile fields at any time from your account settings. Sensitive data is stored with enhanced access controls, is never used for advertising, and is visible only to users you have matched with (subject to your privacy settings).

Cookies & tracking technologies

Wrati uses cookies and similar technologies (local storage, device identifiers) to keep you logged in, remember preferences, and analyse usage. Essential cookies are required for core functionality. Analytics cookies help us improve the App; you can opt out in Settings → Privacy. Advertising identifiers may be used only to measure the effectiveness of our own marketing campaigns, not to serve ads within the App.

Data sharing & disclosure

We share your data only with carefully vetted service providers (cloud hosting, payment processing, analytics, push notifications) who process data solely on our behalf; with other users (profile information you choose to make visible and messages you send); when required by law, court order, or competent authority in India; or in the event of a business transfer (you will be notified at least 30 days in advance). Any third party that receives your data is contractually bound to maintain appropriate security standards.

Data retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. When you delete your account, we initiate permanent deletion of your personal data within 30 days, subject to legal retention requirements, open disputes, or safety-related bans. After deletion, we may retain anonymised, non-identifiable aggregate data indefinitely for research and product improvement.

How we protect your data

We implement layered technical and organisational safeguards including TLS encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest, hashed & salted passwords, role-based access controls, regular security audits, and an incident response plan. No system is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach that poses a risk to your rights, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by the DPDP Act.

Your privacy rights (DPDP Act, 2023)

As a Data Principal you have the right to: access a copy of your personal data; correct inaccurate or incomplete data; request erasure (fulfilled within 30 days); withdraw consent for optional processing; receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format (portability); and lodge a grievance. Exercise any of these rights by emailing gm@wrati.com. We respond to grievances within 72 hours. If dissatisfied, you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India once constituted.

Wrati is built on the belief that genuine connections require mutual respect. You agree not to engage in any of the following:

• Harassment, abuse, threats, or hate speech of any kind;
• Sharing sexually explicit content without clear consent;
• Impersonating another person or creating fake profiles;
• Soliciting money, promoting commercial services, or scamming;
• Distributing malware, spam, or unsolicited promotional material;
• Uploading content that depicts minors in any sexual or inappropriate context;
• Using AI-generated, manipulated, or misleading photos to deceive other users;
• Catfishing or intentionally misrepresenting identity, appearance, age, or relationship status;
• Collecting, screenshotting, or commercially using another user’s information without permission;
• Engaging in fraudulent payments, chargebacks, or illegal financial activities;
• Sharing content that infringes another person’s copyright or intellectual property rights.

Discriminatory language based on caste, religion, gender, sexuality, race, or disability is not tolerated. Mindware reserves the right to remove any content and suspend any account that violates these standards, without notice and without refund of any paid subscription.

Your safety is a shared responsibility. While Wrati implements technical safeguards, we strongly encourage users to exercise personal judgment when meeting someone for the first time. Always meet in public places and inform a trusted person of your plans.

Use the in-app “Report” feature on any profile or message to flag inappropriate behaviour. Our Trust & Safety team reviews reports within 48 hours. For urgent safety concerns, contact local law enforcement immediately. Misuse of the reporting feature to harass other users is itself a violation and may result in your account being suspended.

All content you upload to Wrati (photos, bios, voice notes, messages) remains yours. By uploading content, you grant Mindware a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, store, display, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Services. You confirm that you own the content or have permission to share it and remain solely responsible for it.

Users may not upload AI-generated or heavily edited content intended to mislead other users regarding their identity. Mindware reserves the right to remove such content or suspend associated accounts. You warrant that any content you upload does not infringe the rights of any third party. Mindware is not responsible for user-generated content and does not endorse any opinions or statements made by users.

Wrati offers both a free tier and premium subscription plans. Premium features are clearly marked within the App. All prices are listed in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes.

Billing & auto-renewal: Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. Unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date, your subscription will automatically renew at the then-current rate. Manage or cancel your subscription through your app store account settings.

Refund policy: All payments are generally non-refundable except where required by applicable law. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact gm@wrati.com within 7 days of the transaction. We will review requests on a case-by-case basis.

Mindware reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate accounts involved in fraudulent payments, suspicious transactions, chargebacks, or other illegal financial activities. No refund will be issued for accounts terminated for such violations. Pricing may change with 30 days’ notice; continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

Wrati is strictly for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a minor has created an account or provided personal data, we will immediately delete that data and terminate the account. If you believe a minor is using Wrati, please report it immediately to gm@wrati.com. We take all such reports seriously and act on them within 24 hours.

Wrati provides the App and Services on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free from viruses or harmful components.

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, Mindware shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, emotional distress, or harm resulting from interactions with other users. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to Mindware in the 3 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

You may delete your account at any time through the App’s settings. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription — you must cancel through your app store separately.

Mindware may suspend or permanently terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that violates this Agreement, poses a risk to other users, or is otherwise deemed harmful to the Wrati community. Accounts terminated for violations are not entitled to a refund. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Sections intended to survive termination (intellectual property, dispute resolution, limitation of liability) remain in effect.

We may revise this Agreement from time to time to reflect changes in the law, our data practices, features of the App, or business practices. For material changes that significantly affect your rights, we will provide at least 14 days’ advance notice via in-app notification or email before the changes take effect. For minor changes (clarifications or corrections), we will update the document without prior notice.

Your continued use of the App after the effective date of a revised Agreement constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree with the changes, please stop using the App and delete your account. Mindware may introduce, modify, discontinue, or remove features or subscription benefits at any time; continued use constitutes acceptance of such changes.

This Agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. In the event of any dispute arising from your use of Wrati, you agree to first attempt resolution informally by contacting us exclusively at gm@wrati.com.

Class action waiver: You agree that any dispute will be resolved on an individual basis only. You waive any right to bring or participate in a class action, consolidated, or representative proceeding against Mindware. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking interim injunctive relief from a court of competent jurisdiction in New Delhi for matters involving intellectual property or confidentiality.
