Your account
If you decide to leave Wrati, you can permanently delete your account and request deletion of the personal data associated with it.
Deleting your account removes your profile from Wrati and prevents other members from discovering or interacting with it. We then begin deleting the personal data and content associated with your account, apart from information we are required or permitted to retain for legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution or other legitimate purposes described in our Privacy Policy.
Removing the Wrati app from your phone does not delete your account.
Account deletion is done inside Wrati, where we can confirm the account is yours. Sign in, open Settings, and choose Delete Account under Other. The full steps are below.
Not signed in? “Open Settings in Wrati” will ask you to sign in on the way. If you cannot sign in at all, see Can’t access the app? below.
You can delete your account directly from Wrati:
Account deletion is performed inside Wrati, because we have to confirm you own the account before deleting it. If you can still sign in on any device or in a browser, use Settings → Other → Delete Account— you do not need to reinstall the app.
If you cannot sign in at all, contact us through our support or grievance channel. We will need to verify that you are the account owner before processing the request — we do not delete an account on the strength of an email address alone, because that would let anyone close somebody else’s account.
When deletion is confirmed:
Some deletion operations take time to complete across our systems, so your account is first marked for deletion and the permanent removal follows. Data that Wrati is required to retain, or that is reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal claims, dispute resolution or regulatory compliance, may be retained for the applicable period described in our Privacy Policy. Retained information is not used to restore your deleted profile or for ordinary personalisation.
Deleting your account does not mean that every copy of every conversation disappears. Messages you sent may remain visible to the person you sent them to, and we cannot remove information another member has already saved or recorded independently, or records Wrati is legally required to keep.
Where conversation data is associated with your account and is eligible for deletion, it is handled according to our deletion and retention practices.
Deleting your Wrati account does not cancel a subscription purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Those subscriptions are managed by the store, not by Wrati, and will keep renewing until you cancel them there.
Cancel the subscription beforeyou delete your account, while you can still reach your purchase details. Deleting your account does not by itself entitle you to a refund; refunds follow the applicable purchase terms and the payment provider’s rules.
Account deletion is permanent once the deletion process completes, and it cannot normally be undone. You will not be able to sign in to the account afterwards.
If you would rather take a break, you can limit who sees and interacts with your profile using Wrati’s privacy and discovery controls without deleting anything.
If you cannot complete deletion, or you believe your account was deleted incorrectly, contact Wrati through our Contact or Grievance channels.
