Your ID is checked, then deleted
We keep only the last four characters of your ID number — never the full number — and the document itself is deleted as soon as our team has reviewed it. In India we accept only the masked Aadhaar that hides the first eight digits.
Your family details, income and community information are never shown to other members.
For families across the world
Wrati Matrimony works for members in India and abroad, with prices shown in your local currency.
The four checks
- 1. A live selfie, so the face in the photos is the person behind the profile.
- 2. A government ID, reviewed by our team: a masked Aadhaar or passport in India; a passport, national ID card or driving licence in other countries.
- 3. A mobile number confirmed with a one-time code.
- 4. An email address confirmed with a one-time code.
- A profile that has not passed all four cannot enter Matrimony.
Frequently asked questions
Which ID do I need?
In India, a masked Aadhaar (download it free from myAadhaar) or a passport. In every other country, a passport, national ID card or driving licence.
Does Wrati store my Aadhaar number?
No. We keep only the last four digits, and we accept only the masked Aadhaar. The uploaded copy is deleted as soon as it has been reviewed.
Does verification guarantee someone is honest?
Verification confirms that a member is a real, reachable person with a valid ID. It cannot guarantee their intentions. Please take your time, involve your family, and meet safely — checking a match is ultimately your responsibility.
