Wrati is a relationship platform built on a real engineering foundation: geospatial discovery, semantic matching, real-time communication, and an AI-assisted safety layer — with privacy considered at the design stage rather than added afterwards.
The problem
Matching two people is a solved problem. Knowing whether either of them is who they say they are is not. Online relationship platforms deal with fake profiles, identity fraud, spam, harassment and harmful content — and every one of those is a trust problem before it is a technology problem. Wrati is built around that observation.
Scale
Wrati is built in India for an international market. The architecture separates concerns that would otherwise have to be untangled later: the AI service runs independently of the API, background work runs off the request path, and infrastructure choices live in configuration rather than in code. That is what makes the roadmap below tractable.
Where we're heading — planned, not yet built
Object storage and CDN
Media is currently served from application storage behind signed, expiring URLs. Moving to dedicated object storage with a CDN is the next step for scale and regional delivery.
Multi-region deployment
The application is region-agnostic by design — configuration, not code, decides where it runs. Actually operating more than one region, including EU-region hosting, is planned work rather than present capability.
Regional data residency
Keeping data for a region inside that region requires both infrastructure and schema-level tenancy. Both are on the roadmap.
Enterprise APIs
The trust and safety capabilities described below are internal today. Exposing them as external APIs is a commercialisation step, not a shipped product.
From India to global markets
Wrati is being architected with international expansion in mind, including regional infrastructure, privacy controls and localised compliance requirements. European deployment and regional data-residency capabilities are part of that roadmap — they are not in place today, and this page will say so until they are.
Platform
The verification, moderation and trust-signal capabilities Wrati has built for itself are, in principle, useful to any platform where people meet strangers. Offering them externally is a direction we are exploring.
Commercialisation roadmap
These capabilities are internal to Wrati today. They are not currently available as commercial APIs, and Wrati has no external API customers. Any future offering would be built and announced separately.
